MEDER manufactures innovative Reed products for switching, detecting and counting. Our customers all over the world can rely on our high quality standard, which has its origins in the most beautiful areas in Germany – located in the romantic volcanic landscape near the Lake of Constance and the famous scenery of Swiss alps, and in Thuringia with gently rolling hills and forests, where it has gained the fame as the green heart of Germany.

It is a sharp contrast: challenging micromechanics, excellent engineering expertise and meticulous manufacturing coming from this idyll. It is in this legendary south of Germany where we started our first steps in 1987.

At the foot of Hohentwiel, the town of Singen is our headquarter for management, R&D, manufacturing and central logistics, together with millions of reed switches produced per year from our own factory in Grossbreitenbach, Thringia, we have now grown to become a global player in the field of Reed technology. Meder now has branch offices in Switzerland, the Czech, Republic, Italy, France, Great Britain, United States, China and a broad sales network covering all the continents in the world.

30% of our product range are standard items, the rest are produced according to our customers’ specifications. Not only the Reed Switches themselves, but also the final products – sensors and relays – offer high MEDER quality. We work closely with the most important manufacturer of Reed Switches worldwide, OKI Sensor Device Cooperation in Japan. Their Reed Switches complement our own highly innovative and broad range of products.
